Between December 1, 2023, and April 30, 2024, if you believe the market value of your property has fallen below the assessed value as shown on your current property tax bill for 2023, then you may submit a request for an “Informal Review of Assessment” for your property. We will keep you informed on our review and any reduction we can grant will be reflected on your 2024 tax bill that you will receive next Fall.

The San Diego Assessor’s Office have sent out mailers, which outline assessed value information, property tax exemptions and exclusions, and Owner Alert, to ONLY “primary residence” homes (those with a Homeowner or Disabled Veterans Exemptions for 2023)
NO commercial, industrial, multi-family or other type of use properties will receive these mailers.
The 2023 Assessment Roll has been completed and the 2023 Notification of Assessed Value for all taxable real estate parcels has been posted.
